Week 16 My Mother's worst Nightmare

Image
FRIENDS AND FAMILY, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, CHILDREN OF GOD!  The duo life has been a blast. Sister Schmutz is pretty much already trained and we have been working extremely hard all week. We have especially been trying to focus on accomplishing goals. So, we set a goal to set specific goals each finding time (hand out a Book of Mormon, talk to everyone, get a return appointment, etc.) Which has been going really well and we were able to have a lot of really spiritual contacts this week!  Every Thursday we rotate with the West Sac B sisters and teach a Book of Mormon class. The last few weeks we have had a hard time getting investigators there BUT God is good and this week Angelo was able to come! We read Alma 24 which if you haven't read it recently GO READ IT. ITS SO GOOD. He loved the chapter and all of the members were AMAZING at fellowshipping him and really making him feel like apart of the ward. One of the members even invited him to the potluck that we had on Sat...

Week 15 New Car who Dis?

FRIENDS AND FAMILY, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, CHILDREN OF GOD, REST IN PEACE 2 SISTER BUNCH. SHE WILL BE MISSED. Today is transfers and  our beloved trainer Sister Bunch left us to go whitewash in Fairfield. Rest In Peace, I am so sad to see her go. BUT what that means is that I am staying in West Wacky as an STL and finishing Training Sister Schmutz which is a lot to do right out of training, but I guess whatever God wants from me. BUT THE BIGGEST NEW THING IS THAT WE GOT A MINI VAN. We haven't figured out a name for it yet so if you have any suggestions please let me know. Its a pretty white van that I get to be the designated driver for this transfer, so that' s fun.  I also hit my 100 days this week! That was weird for me but a grand old time. This whole mission thing has honestly been a blink of an eye for me so far but I also feel like I was born here so that's fun. Speaking of being born, we had our primary program yesterday and for those of you who do...

FRIENDS AND FAMILY, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, CHILDREN OF GOD!  THE LAST EXCHANGE OF THE TRANSFER! Boy oh boy was it a good one. I went to Woodland with Sister Dribnak and we killed it. We both made the goal to talk to everyone that we saw and I am not joking when I say that we talked to EVERYONE! We stopped people that were getting out of their car, we got out of our car, we awkwardly bugged this lady right as she was leaving her apartment. It was LOVELY! There were many awkward run ins BUT WORTH IT because we found 6 solid potentials!!!! I was so so happy that I got to go and help out and it was so so much fun! We also decided that since we were in Woodland for exercise time in the morning we called up the elders (2 sets in the area) and decided to go and ball with them. To say the least we crushed them. Me and Sister Dribnak are straight ballers.  We also had interviews with President and got some pretty BIG NEWS! DRUMMM ROLLL PLEASSSSEEEEE...... ON OCTOBER 26, 27, AN...

Week 13

FRIENDS AND FAMILY, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, CHILDREN OF GOD! Boy oh boy was this week full of exchanges. We did exchanges with both the West Sac B sisters and the Woodland sisters. For those of you who do not know, an exchange is when the STLs switch with the sister missionaries in their zone to help to encourage and uplift them and offer any help in their work. So, it was my 4th exchange ever and it was my first exchange officially in someone elses area and I was the STL. Not gonna lie it was pretty intimidating, but extremely fun and so so good.  Exchange #1 was on Tuesday to Wednesday. I brought sweet Sister Conor back here to West wacky. Sister Conor came in the same time as Sister Schmutz so she is still a cute greenie (I guess technically im still a greenie too, but I like to say I am more of a light green greenie now lol.) But we had such a good exchange! We had a really cool experience when we were finding. We went to this apartment complex where most of the people di...

Week 12

FRIENDS AND FAMILY, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, CHILDREN OF GOD!  I could cry God is just that good. I will not lie to you all, It was a hard week. For some random reason all of our people just fell off of the face of the earth. 2 of them straight up moved away just spur of the moment. Including Jose #2, sadly he decided to go back to Texas. RIP. He will be missed. Not only that but we also met a basher guy that was pretty much wreck-it-ralph. Just following us trying to convince all those we talked to that "Mormonism wasn't true." So that was fun.  Jose #1 has been awol since last week. Sadly him and our recent convert Chris are the two main people that basher guy has gotten ahold of. BUT SO MANY MIRACLES! Our boy Terrance (came to church for like 10 mins like 3 weeks ago and was in tears) came to church again yesterday!! ALL OF CHURCH! Which was really an answer to prayers because right after our lesson with him on Saturday we saw basher guy walk up to him and point t...

FRIENDS AND FAMILY, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, CHILDREN OF GOD! DRUMROLL PLEASSEEEEEEEE......Angelo has OFFICIALLY set a date so that is so so so so so exciting! He has set 2 others in the past BUT this time we had him pray about and choose the date AND he actually chose one and prayed about it which is so good! We are so excited for him, he has been doing way wayyyy better with his Word of Wisdom issues! I am so stoked. YOU GUYS, HE LOVES GOD. When we very first met him he wasn't sure if there was a God and he was positive that if there was one that he didn't care about him. FULL CIRCLE. WE ASKED HIM WHY HE WANTED TO BE BAPTIZED AND HE SAID ITS BECAUSE HE LOVES GOD AND WANTS TO SHOW HIM THAT HE LOVES HIM! STRAIGHT TO HEAVEN. IM SO HAPPY. Now everyone just pray that he can get himself to church the next 2 weeks! (he is still a 21 year old boy who loves to sleep in) so pls pray 4 him, thank you.  ZONE CONFERENCE WAS ON THURSDAY! I LOVE ZONE CONFERENCE. SO MUCH. In case y...
