Week 58 Gas Pedal

Image
FRIENDS AND FAMILY, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, CHILDREN OF GOD,  Another great week, how lucky am I? It has been a wild ride training Sister Soultz, the girl has got an attitude and a desire to serve and its an amazing combination. We spend most of our time laughing and working hard. It feels really good to be with 2 companions who just want to be the best they can be.  This week we got to meet twice with our friend Kristianna, I think I mentioned her a couple weeks ago BUT she is AMAZING. She requested to do bible studies with us and this week as we were studying we followed up on our invitation to pray to know how God feels about her. Well apparently, at first she was disappointed because she didn't feel like she got an answer BUT THEN she was on social media and saw a post about how God shows his love and at the beach that night she said she just felt this overwhelming sense that He was there and that He loved her. SO COOL. She seriously rocks and I have loved being ...

Week 57 Welcome to my Balancing Act

FRIENDS AND FAMILY, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, CHILDREN OF GOD,  WE GOT THE CUTEST GREENIE IN THE WORLD THIS WEEK. Her name is Sister Soultz and she is from Iowa. She has only been a member for A YEAR AND A HALF!! She has SO much faith and such a desire to serve. She is seriously the cutest and the things that she says gets me and Sister Bunker laughing SOOOO hard.  It has been a new found challenge this week working to juggle all that we have going on but my oh my does the Lord provide. Although we had training meetings, staying the night in Santa Rosa, teaching twice, doing social media stuff, and getting our cute greenie we still were able to have 21 lessons this week which was honestly a miracle!!   A couple of those lessons were with Michael. We set up the Book of Mormon for her to listen to on her laptop and she is SO excited. We called her yesterday and she bore her testimony on prayer and said that ever since we started meeting things have just felt better,...

FRIENDS AND FAMILY, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, CHILDREN OF GOD! YET ANOTHER CRAZYYY WEEK.  Here are some highlights: ☆ We got transfer news!!!! Me and Sister Bunker will be staying in Sebastopol but we will sadly be losing our beloved Sister Powell to Vacaville. She will be missed. We will be picking up a new missionary on Wednesday and we get the great privilege of training her, VERY EXCITING.  ☆We got a call on Friday from the APs and they wanted us to come to the mission office with a clean car...they wouldn't tell us why. So we go and they give us a JEEP. Turns out our new mission president decided to take all the Sisters in my mission off of bikes and give them cars. So they were switching them all around and we got a rental car for now, a 2019 jeep limited, CANNOT COMPLAIN.  ☆We had a BOMB lesson with Michael this week that consisted of Apple Pie, the Plan of Salvation, and her accepting an invitation to prepare to be baptized!! She is just getting ready an...

FRIENDS AND FAMILY, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, CHILDREN OF GOD, Hope Y'all had a GREAT 4th of July!!! It was another good week here in Sebastopol California. I learned a LOT of amazing things and even got some exciting news! Let me tell you a few fun facts about Sebastopol/my area: -Everyone here still has a landline/home phone -Every Friday on main street a group of people pickett with anti government stuff and then on the other side of the street people come waving American flags.  -It is a VERY old fashioned town, everything is older. Everywhere has character and personality, it is the best I love it.  -Ever since the quarantine people have been going outside every night at 8pm and howling at the moon -The members are amazing and so are the people we get to teach. Michael is doing REALLY well. This week we taught her about the Plan of Salvation and as we were talking about her purpose here on Earth she said a light went off and she just felt like she f...

Week 54 We are Family!

Image
FRIENDS AND FAMILY, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, CHILDREN OF GOD, wowowowoow wowowo wow wowo wow wow woweeee, what a week!! SOOO MUCH HAPPENED, here's just a taste.  I continue to love my comps and to love this area, IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL. Last P-day we went to Bodega Bay and walked on the beach for a couple of hours, it was so peaceful and OH SO NICE. The beaches here are so different, I was wearing a long sleeve and the fog was setting in, it was SUPER pretty, not like the typical sweltering heat at other beaches that's for sure. We also got to go to a redwood forest trail and teach a lesson to our friend Kameron and his friend Amanda, BY FAR the most peaceful place I have ever taught a lesson. The spirit was strong and the trees were huge.  We also got to teach Michael again this week, we gave her a Book of Mormon and read a little bit in it with her. She loved the spirit that we brought and asked how she could feel it more, we testified of the scriptures and she was supe...

Week 53 I'm going to call you Jams...

FRIENDS AND FAMILY, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, CHILDREN OF GOD,  It was honestly one of the weirdest weeks of my mission thus far, Sebastopol is wild.  My new area consists of pretty much everything. We have the beach, vineyards, redwoods, and everything in between. We cover about 9 little towns and our area is HUGE. I have probably only seen like 10% of it so far, if that. IT IS BEAUTIFUL THOUGH. We live in the cutest little cottage you could imagine called "Hannah's house" it is a party. I AM OBSESSED WITH MY NEW COMPS. It is SO fun all being in the same point in our missions and we have dedicated this transfer to learning from each other and helping each other out so no one is carrying more weight than the others. So far it has been fantastic and one of the most equal trios I have been in, not to mention that my comps are hilarious. I swear we are ALWAYS laughing about something. It is so great to not only work hard but to also have a good time while doing it.  ...

Y'all better remember my bff Ginger, we lost contact when Corona hit but the Lord is FULL of tender mercies and we got back into contact with her just in time for me to say see you later. She committed to reading in the Book of Mormon daily and for the first time she said she feels like she is understanding it.  Thursday: All day it felt like Friday  Friday: All day it felt like Saturday. Week 51 Hey kids!

FRIENDS AND FAMILY, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, CHILDREN OF GOD, BIG NEWS: Your favorite duo became a trio this week. We got a call last week that we got the privilege of picking up a cute new reassigned missionary. We were so stoked and it was SO fun getting to go to Santa Rosa and see some of my friends after sooooo long. The best part was getting to come back with Sister Ilagan. (I-login) She is from Maryland and served for 2 months in Brazil until she was sent home due to Corona. She is adorable and I love her forever.  SAD NEWS: With so many new missionaries coming in we sadly had to give up Vallejo 2nd to the Elders. One of which was one of our Zone Leaders. The last few days we have had lots of pass off lessons and said see you later to a lot of our good friends in Vallejo 2nd.  With giving up that area came giving up Justin and James. Justin has been doing so well and we are going to continue to team teach him until Tuesday. He makes my heart so happy and I have...
