Week 58 Gas Pedal
FRIENDS AND FAMILY, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, CHILDREN OF GOD,
Another great week, how lucky am I?
It has been a wild ride training Sister Soultz, the girl has got an attitude and a desire to serve and its an amazing combination. We spend most of our time laughing and working hard. It feels really good to be with 2 companions who just want to be the best they can be.
This week we got to meet twice with our friend Kristianna, I think I mentioned her a couple weeks ago BUT she is AMAZING. She requested to do bible studies with us and this week as we were studying we followed up on our invitation to pray to know how God feels about her. Well apparently, at first she was disappointed because she didn't feel like she got an answer BUT THEN she was on social media and saw a post about how God shows his love and at the beach that night she said she just felt this overwhelming sense that He was there and that He loved her. SO COOL. She seriously rocks and I have loved being able to learn from her.
We were able to have a lot of great lessons this week! One of which was with a guy named Joshua, we found him over Facebook and he is SUPER new to the area. He has seen A LOT and we got to go over and testify to him that God knows him and knows everything that he has gone through. It was a tender experience, one that I am grateful that I got to be part of.
Last week my good friend sent me something in an email that I really enjoyed, she said:
"The gospel of Jesus Christ doesn't make life easy, it explains why life is hard. I realized that I am running in place & I'll have endless ways I need to improve, but it is because I have an infinite potential. Instead of looking at my weaknesses as immobilizing, I just have to get ready to make them into strengths through the Savior."
What a blessing it is to know that God is ALWAYS there to help us improve and become the person that we are meant to be! Being molded is NOT a comfortable process, but it is one that is 10000% worth it because if you let God do the molding He will make a master piece.
Mucho love,
Sister Tams
Other/Funny Stuff:
-Buckle-up, it was a funny week.
-We had Zone Conference and they were talking about how me and my comps were social media specialist and instead of saying Sister Bunker they kept saying Sister Bunx, it was hilarious.
-We went to a members house for dinner the other day and they were feeding their pet snake. First time in my life that I watched a rat being caught by a snake, strangled to death and then eaten...it was a ride.
-At that same dinner we sat by an adorable 5 year old named Sean, we asked him how old he thought we were and he said "I don't know, how long do you work out." Fair enough Sean, fair enough.
-Sean also told us a 5 minute long story about killer birds flying helicopters and he may have swore during it...I was crying I was laughing so hard.
-Our poor greenie has to deal with me and Sister Bunker thinking that literally EVERYTHING is funny, this one day it was especially bad and we were crying DURING A PHONE CALL LESSON, it did not help that as we were trying not to laugh Sister Bunker accidentally hit the gas pedal and honked the horn. It was a mess, grateful for Sister Soultz.
-Sister Soultz asked Sister Bunker to give her a tattoo, picture feat below.
-We went to a nonmembers house for dinner and she gave us the most hippy dippy poem book in the world, I love it.
-We were doing additional comp study yesterday and Sister Soultz accidentally fell backwards in her chair...it was funny.
-We have also been scaring each other quite a bit lately...especially at night when the lights are out. I have been getting pretty paranoid and may have punched the air quite a few times.
-Our friend, Kross, in Mississippi that got baptized sent me and Sister Bunker gifts that he said reminded him of us. Sister Bunker got hello kitty and I got a dog named Rush...so that was fun.
