Friends and family, brothers and sisters, children of God,

We are on fire again, literally and figuratively! Last night we got a call that the Hermanas would be coming to stay the night because they were evacuated!! It has been a fun little slumber party and honestly none of us know how long it will last. The ash is worse than it ever has been before, the floor is coated with it. It is the end of the world, but that's okay because the work moves forward!!

My zone has been continuing to kill it and we OFFICIALLY hit our high water mark, with 3 baptisms to go!! These Elders and Sisters are incredible and they have been working SO hard! I am SO glad I got to be apart of it all.

Bob is doing really really good and is making his way back to California! Which is THE BEST because his baptism will be on Sunday!!! We are ALL so excited!! SO PLS PRAY THAT THE FIRES DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING.

I have been teaching Sis Soultz the story of the Book of Mormon, because as a recent convert it has been hard to see how it all connects. SO for the past 12 weeks every once in awhile I become a seminary teacher and talk all about the different books within and what is happening (i'm super underqualified but no worries I fact checked myself lots) while doing this I was talking about the Book of Ether, WHICH I LOVE SPECIFICALLY VERSE 12

"And they did land upon the shore of the promised land. And when they had set their feet upon the shores of the promised land they bowed themselves down upon the face of the land, and did humble themselves before the Lord, and did shed tears of joy before the Lord, because of the multitude of his tender mercies over them."

Basically this is the BEST verse because these are the same people who have been in barges in the sea for 344 days and have had no control over where they were going or what was happening and the FIRST thing they do is thank God for His tender mercies. THAT'S AMAZING. I have been pondering about that, do I thank Him enough for all of the tender mercies He gives to me? Because they happen ALL THE TIME. Are you thanking Him for it?

Other/Funny Stuff:

-THE PROPHET AND APOSTLES ARE GOING TO BE SPEAKING TO US THIS WEEKEND AND I AM SOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!

-We had our first zoom Relief Society yesterday and watching those cute lil old ladies try to figure out how to unmute themselves and do video was the highlight of my day. I love this ward, everyone is 100.

-We got offered weed by a homeless man, don't worry we said we were good. Nice guy.

-Sis Soultz hit her 3 months, we celebrated with ice-cream

-We accidentally left the lights on so we had to figure out how to jump our spaceship, it was an experience but with the help of our awesome landlord we got it done.

-Sister Bunker freaked out over video chat on accident and accepted the invite to go drive around town with some random guy in his mustang. I was crying I was laughing so hard, that date will be cancelled.

-TRANSFERS IS NEXT WEEK AND IT'S EXPECTED THAT EVERYTHING WILL CHANGE, SOOOO STAY TUNED.
