Week 63 Save the downsyndrome tigers

 FRIENDS AND FAMILY, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, CHILDREN OF GOD, 


Our friends are all amazing and I am SO grateful we get to teach them. We have been reading in the bible with our friend Laura and she has been LOVING it. She lives in the mountains because she feels like only there she is able to be embraced in a protective hug. She is one of the biggest hippies I have met and I love it sooooo much, I might just go live there with her. 

Bob has been doing AMAZING!! We met with him twice this week and both times he had read the chapter we left him with multiple times! He even pointed out a verse all about baptism and told us that he wanted to be baptized as an adult!!! We invited him to pray about it and will be finding out tonight about how that went!! So I am stoked for that. Only downside is that he is leaving on a trip on Thursday until the beginning of November...rip, pray that he gets delayed;))))

We got to go and teach a bunch of the incoming missionaries which is always super fun, we also got to go to MLC this week!! I love hearing from our leaders and President. We talked a lot about repentance. I LOVE REPENTANCE. IT IS THE BEST THING IN THE WHOLE WORLD. Basically everything we do to improve is just a form of repentance. When we try to be better each and every day and ask for the Saviors help to do so we are repenting. I LOVE being able to turn to God each night, ask for forgiveness and for the strength to be better the next day. It truly has shaped me into the person that I am today and helped me to grow so so so so so much. SO if you haven't repented in awhile I urge you to do so, the Lord wants to help us even with the "small stuff" that we think we can't fix. He is kind of the master healer if you were wondering.

-There is this member named Chris Jackson who has had a WILD life, we got to meet with him quite a few times this week and he gave me and Sister Soultz gangster nicknames (he says only he can do that bc he is from the hood) sooooo I am Sister TayDay and Sister Soultz is small fry. Its kinda fun. 
-We decided to eat smarter so we had a ton of chicken and fish and not a ton of bread, we miss bread so much that Sister Bunker had a dream about it. 
-We got to hold 3 week old kittens. It was fun. 
-WE GOT A 2020 RAV4. IT SOUNDS LIKE A SPACE SHIP AND I LOVE IT. 
-We were planning with the Elders and somehow got on the subject of down syndrome animals and Sister Bunker accidentally said "down syndrome tiger...lets kill it" She was talking about killing the presentation but used the most unfortunate words. Needless to say, we are now starting a campaign to save the down syndrome tigers. 
-By some miracle I got to see Sister Dribnak before she flew home on Tuesday, it was a bittersweet see you late. I love that lady with my whole heart and soul, what an example she is.

Week 68 Baptism, Conference and Transfers

  FRIENDS AND FAMILY, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, CHILDREN OF GOD, EVERYTHING happened this week. ALL of it. Here is a highlight reel: -BOB GOT BAPTIZED YESTERDAY!!!! It was an amazing poolside service and lots of great people came to support him. He was glowing and said he felt goosebumps the whole time. I love him so so much and am so so so happy that I got to be apart of it all.  -SISTER BUNKER IS LEAVING. Transfers are today and we found out we will be losing her to Novato. She is a rockstar and will be an STL her ENTIRE MISSION!!! I still cannot believe our dreams came true and that we got to be companions, I read a note that I wrote to her right after the MTC and I addressed it to my future companion. God is good and knew that I needed a comp like her, forever grateful.  -We are getting a cutie named Sis Hancock, she came in with Sister Soultz so I will be ending my last transfer with 2 newish missionaries!!! It should be lots of fun.  -LAST BUT CERTAINTLY NOT LEAST ...

Friends and family, brothers and sisters, children of God,  We are on fire again, literally and figuratively! Last night we got a call that the Hermanas would be coming to stay the night because they were evacuated!! It has been a fun little slumber party and honestly none of us know how long it will last. The ash is worse than it ever has been before, the floor is coated with it. It is the end of the world, but that's okay because the work moves forward!! My zone has been continuing to kill it and we OFFICIALLY hit our high water mark, with 3 baptisms to go!! These Elders and Sisters are incredible and they have been working SO hard! I am SO glad I got to be apart of it all.  Bob is doing really really good and is making his way back to California! Which is THE BEST because his baptism will be on Sunday!!! We are ALL so excited!! SO PLS PRAY THAT THE FIRES DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING.  I have been teaching Sis Soultz the story of the Book of Mormon, because as a recent convert...
