Week 47 Buried Alive: poster's edition

FRIENDS AND FAMILY, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, CHILDREN OF GOD,

Howdy hey, it's me again. Your fave sister in Northern California. It has been a CRAZY BUSY WEEK, so lets dive into it.

Lemme tell you about my new friend. We were calling people in Areabook last week and we got into contact with this guy named Justin, who said he was interested and asked if we could call again on Monday. We said of course and then had a BOMB lesson with him over the phone! He even asked about the godhead and when we explained it he said, "that makes sense"!!!!! We have since taught him 3 lessons, he has read 10+ chapters in the Book of Mormon and he is praying to know if it is true. He is SO cool and God is SO good.

We also got into contact with a guy named James who the Elders used to teach. He has read about half of the Book of Mormon and knows that it is true. Soooo we love that. We have already taught him twice this week and have another appointment with him on Wednesday. We taught him about proper priesthood authority for ordinances like baptism this week and he said it gave him a lot to think about. I love him so much, he just has such a desire to come closer to God. I am stoked to continue to see him grow.

We spent a LOT of the week working with our amazing members. We were asked to enlist the help of our wards in making posters for the new missionaries coming in, and boy did they COME THROUGH. We were asked to have at least 10 for our area and we legit had 80+ Our recent convert and her family made 40 just them. It was SO SO cute and a lot of them were super creative. Pics feat below. Our members are the best.

In honor of Mothers day I thought I would share my momma's favorite scripture.
Alma 37:35-37
" O remember my son and learn wisdom, yea learn in thy youth to keep the commandments of God..."Yea, and cry unto God for all thy support; yea, let all thy doings be unto the Lord, and whithersoever thou goest let it be in the Lord; yea, let all thy thoughts be directed unto the Lord; yea, let the affections of thy heart be placed upon the Lord forever.
Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good; yea, when thou liest down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the morning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God; and if ye do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day."
Say your prayers ppl, it is honest to goodness my therapy and the best thing in the whole world. I find solace on my knees. Never stop talking to him, especially when you don't feel like talking to him. HE WANTS TO HEAR FROM YOU. TRUST ME.

I love you all,
hope you all gave your mommas a big hug yesterday,
Mucho love,
Sis Tams

Other/Funny Stuff:
-So far we have 67 missionaries reassigned that will be coming before June 2nd. We will be getting them in groups of 20 and the first group is coming tomorrow! We only have 9 sisters coming and 58 elders!! We are going to be overrun with Elders, I just don't know how long we will last. (;
-We went and delivered Mothers Day gifts for the Vallejo 2nd ward on Saturday and it was quite the ride. We had 66 gifts to deliver, 2 routes to determine (The Elders helped), and a whole lot of running up to doors to do. It was the most knocking we have done in a looonnnggg time. Very fun stuff.
-We did a fun family history post on our Facebook Page, so if you want to find out what cool person I am related to and get some serious upliftment go follow Representatives of Jesus Christ in Vallejo. Sister Support.
-We called this one guy who hit on Sister Derbidge HARD. He literally invited her to go to Greece with him. He also bragged about his sail boat and porsche, and assured us that he was pretty cute. I was worried that my companion was going to run away with him.(; I couldn't stop laughing hahahhah.
-We asked one of the Vallejo members to help us out with a post and we asked him to take a picture for it horizontally and I guess we should'e been a little clearer because he said "You want me laying down?" Hah, we died.
-GOD IS GOOD MY FRIENDS, STAY SAFE OUT THERE. EVERY DAY IS A NEW DAY.

We made some too!

Buried Alive!
