FRIENDS AND FAMILY, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, CHILDREN OF GOD,

PAEA GOT BAPTIZED ON SATURDAY AND IT MADE MY HEART SO SO SO HAPPY. This whole week I was counting down the days until Saturday and it did not disappoint. Even with masks and social distancing it was incredibly special. It was a small baptism due to the pandemic but it was just as sweet. She was baptized with her grandson and afterwards they both came out in their traditional Tongan celebration clothes. She was even wearing heels. Which she hasn't been able to do in a looonggg time. It reminded me of Sister Moala, so much joy. I love the Tongan people with all my heart.
On Sunday we got to begin our new member lessons with Paea and we were all just cryin. She said she felt like she had a new life and we talked about how God knows her and her desires to follow Him. She told us we were saying everything that she was feeling and I told her how I had been praying for a miracle and I felt God answered my prayers with her. It was very sweet and she will always hold a very special place in my heart.
On top of an AMAZING baptism this week was crazy insane. With the new Vallejo ward we are trying to get to know as many people as possible (members and nonmembers) so we have been on the phone A LOT. We ended up teaching 28 lessons this week. I felt like I was a chicken running around with my head cut off in the best possible way.
We were in a mission council call yesterday when we officially found out that starting on the 12th in the next few weeks we will be getting 170 total missionaries! THATS ALOTTA MISSIONARIES. We are SO excited!! If you know anyone that gets reassigned to Santa Rosa please please inform them just how lucky they are. Truly is the BEST mission out there.
IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED THE BOOK OF MORMON VIDEOS GO AND WATCH THEM RIGHT NOW, THEY HAVE MORE SPIRITUAL UPLIFTMENT THAN I COULD EVER GIVE YA. SO, GO. WATCH. NOW.
Mucho Love,
Sister Tams
Other/Funny Stuff:
-We had a lesson with our good friend Jim and we asked him why he couldn't read the Book of Mormon and he was like I don't know, I honestly don't have a good reason so I guess I need to read it. WE. ARE. STOKED.
-We got a self-referral this week of a lady named Bonnie, she wanted us to pray with her and we had a nice little lesson. She's real cool and I'm excited to keep working with her.
-I thought the Benicia Ward was the BEST but the Vallejo 2nd ward is getting up there. The members so far have welcomed us with open arms and it has been SO fun getting to know more and more of them via videochat.
-We had like 0 extra time this week and I kinda loved it. It was oh so nice to be busy.
-SHOUTOUT to my Sis-in-law KATIE, Hope you had THE best birthday LOVEE YOOUUUU.
-We solved ALL the riddles the Elders threw our way this week. It was very exciting. One of the Riddles took an Elder like days to figure out and it took us like 20 minutes and he was SOOOO mad. It was hilarious, good times. Plus they said they'd get us free cream soda if we figured it out so we are STOKED for that. If you got any good riddles we can use to stump the Elders pls let me know.
-I GOT TO PARTAKE OF THE SACRAMENT YESTERDAY AND IT MADE ME SO SO HAPPY, WHAT A BLESSING. Only getting it once a month has made me appreciate it SO SO much more.
-I received my endowments a year ago today, best decision I ever made.
