Week 43 Our fridge is Full and so is our Hearts!!!

FRIENDS AND FAMILY, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, CHILDREN OF GOD,

HAPPY EASTER!!! I hope you all had a fantastic day FULL of reflecting on the great goodness that is our Savior and his infinite resurrection. I know I did. What a blessing it is to know that He lives.

It was another weird week, full of ups and downs and everything in between. God is good. Everyday I find the tender mercies that He showers upon us.

Many of those tender mercies came about this week because of our incredible members. I cannot say it enough Benicia, California has got to have the best members in the entire world. Not only did we have at least 3 members lessons set up every night but we also got many suprises at our doorstep.

On Friday we got to Fast with the rest of the World which was difficult being in the apartment with your pantry staring at you, but it was such a HUGE blessing. I pondered a lot about fasting with a good attitude and I have got to say it was probably one of my best fasts yet. Especially because at the end one of our members brought us dinner: lasagna AND the cutest little lemon bar in the world.

If you wanted to know, the members are definitely fattening us up. We feel it may be a Hansel and Grettle situation honestly...On Saturday our AMAZING mission president messaged the whole mission and told us that we would be getting a suprise at 6pm. However at about the same time 3 different members ALSO brought us pie, cupcakes, and chocolate, and my mom sent us DELICIOUS cupcakes, plus we got a pizza. So we had to ask our Zone Leaders what President sent because most of it was anonymous.  What a life. Our fridge is full and so is our hearts.

Teaching has been slow this week and we had to drop some of our sweet friends. We get transfer news on Saturday and pretty much no one (even president) knows what is going to happen yet. By the end of this transfer we will be down to 104 missionaries. Which is whack.

Each night at 9pm our Mission President has asked us to go outside and look up at the sky, and say a lil prayer for all of the other missionaries in our mission who are doing the exact same thing. It helps remind us that we are all in this together and it is so very sweet. Afterwards he sends what we are calling nightly noticias, here is part of the one he sent on Saturday because it was just that good.

"I am one of his witnesses, and in a coming day I shall feel the nail marks in his hands and in his feet and shall wet his feet with my tears.
But I shall not know any better then than I know now that he is God’s Almighty Son, that he is our Savior and Redeemer, and that salvation comes in and through his atoning blood and in no other way."    -Bruce R. McConkie
I hope that we each might be able to come to know our Savior Jesus Christ and His infinite atonement with that much surety.
Mucho Love,
Sister Tams
Other/Funny Stuff:
-We watched a car flip on our walk the other day so that was exciting. (everyones okay...we hope)
-Our Zone Leaders called us the other day with a VERY important question. Which super power would be more fun: Teleportation, invisibility, or shapeshifting? It has caused quite the debate...and I gotta say the Elders are just wrong.
-My FAVORITE member in West Sac gave me her secret cookie reciepe and we made them this week to deliver to some of our members. I am suprised any got anywhere besides my belly honestly.
-We have 12 Elders leaving including A LOT of our zone leaders and one of our APs so it should be a VERY interesting transfer. ALSO we may be getting new missionaries mid transfer so President just said not to get too comfortable...
-One of our members told us that she had at least 3 Thursdays this week, gotta agree. Time is the weirdest thing right now.
-Almost forgot...one of our members also brought us fruit. So at least one of them is helping us stay healthy.
