Week 41 Not to flex but our members are better than yours

FRIENDS AND FAMILY, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, CHILDREN OF GOD,

Alright, so it has been a weird week. It's been a little tough but I'm not gonna talk about that. Instead here are some of the wins from this week.

-We started teaching a few people through messenger.
-We got to have a mission call with the WHOLE mission on Saturday which was SO great. It was lovely to see my fellow missionaries and to see president. I love each of them so very very much.
-My Aunt and Uncle sent me a letter
-Our WML bought us pizza
-WE GOT TO TAKE THE SACRAMENT!!!!
-We have been praying that our good friend Katrina would be more open to reading the Book of Mormon and she texted us the other day ASKING where she should read in our "Mormon bible" to get some comfort!!
-We got a new game last week called Othello and I am determined to figure out how to win.
-We live in a beautiful place and the walks that we get to go on each day are lovely.
-I have been reading the New Testament and I LOVE it.
-Our members are INCREDIBLE and we had 19 member lessons this week via video chat.

There is more but that is mainly what I can think of. We are "sheltered in place" so there sadly isn't a ton to do. Due to Corona we lost contact with some of the people that we are teaching including Ginger and Tom. I hope and pray that we will be able to see them again when this all blows over, all I know for sure is that Gods got a plan.

I was reading in Ether this week and something stuck out to me. In Ether chapter 6 the people begin their journey to the promised land. BUT there journey is quite unique, they are making their trek in wooden barges that are "tight like unto a dish" They have light but they are completely and fully relying on God and trusting that he is leading them to the promised land. In verse 8 it says "And it came to pass that the wind did never cease to blow towards the promised land while they were upon the waters..." It then continues in verse 11 "And thus they were driven forth, three hundred and forty and four days upon the water." 344 DAYS! That is absolutely incredible to me. These people had a literal storm happening on the sea all around them and they had NO control BUT instead of freaking out they chose to trust God. They chose to rely on Him and on His plan. I have been thinking a lot about that this week. We are on day 13 of shelter in place and it's not the funnest thing I have ever done, but just as the Jaredite people I trust that this storm is leading us to better things in the future. Even if it takes 344 days to see that.

Mucho Love,
Sister Tams

Other/Funny Stuff:
-Lol most of it is above...
-We had 3 missionaries go home from our zone due to health concerns and my heart goes out to them. They served so so so honorably and they are already being missed.
-BIRTHDAY SHOUTOUT TO THE COOLEST YOUNGEST SISTER MOLLY JEAN TAMS. HOPE 14 TREATS YOU WELL.
-We watched the movie Legacy this week which if you haven't watched it you NEED to. Its a quality movie, ask Sister Bunker.
-I am getting really good at solitaire.
-GENERAL CONFERENCE IS THIS WEEKEND AND I AM SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SOOOO STOKED. ITS GONNA BE SO GOOD!! YOU ALL BETTER TUNE IN. IT'LL BE UNFORGETTABLE.
