Week 38 Sad News Y'all...

BROTHERS AND SISTERS, FRIENDS AND FAMILY, CHILDREN OF GOD,

MY DEAREST SISTER MOALA IS LEAVING ME. We got the news last night and she is to be in a trio in Vacaville. I'm in mourning, I have loved every single second of being her companion. I don't know if there is a human on this planet who has made me laugh more than her, she is a hoot and I am so excited to go visit her in Tonga.

My new companions name is Sister Derbidge. She is just finishing up her training and coming from Eureka. I have never met her before but she seems super sweet and I am excited to get to know her.

We got to do lots of service this week which I LOVE. We helped a less active family prepare to move and we showed our sweet friend Jean how to use her new Smart Phone. Both of which were very very very entertaining.

We went and visited a bunch of people for Sister Moala to say goodbye to and had some AWESOME lessons. Our good friend Tom told us that before us he believed in God only like 5% but now he has gotten up to believing like 25% so we are counting that as a HUGE win. We also got to see our good friend Ginger this week and talk about personal revelation. She is still praying about baptism and we are hoping she will get her answer sometime SOON!

I feel so incredibly privileged that I got the opportunity to be Sister Moalas companion, she taught me SO much about faith and humility. She has such a big heart and she is never afraid to show it to others. Her unconditional love astounds me and I learned so much from being her companion. In the Ricciardi letter it says:
"...The greatest conversion that should take pace in the mission field is your own! That is what is so incredible about missionary work, the closer you bring others to Christ, the closer you get to Christ yourself. I am not just talking about when you teach investigators and less actives, the missionary work you will do to help your companions come closer to Christ, and they for you, is a powerful work in and of itself, let alone the work to those who do not have the gospel."
Sister Moala brought me so much closer to my Savior and I am so grateful for her and her example. She will be very missed but I know that there are people in Vacaville that she is going to change for the better, they truly do not know how lucky they are going to get.

That's all I really have for you today, keep fighting the good fight.
Mucho Love,
Sister Tams
