Week 21 Pho'real...

FRIENDS AND FAMILY, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, CHILDREN OF GOD,

Pho is so good. F'real delicious. Highly recommend. Our good friend Denise had us over for dinner yesterday and made us some and it was quality. She also gave us the most GIANT bowls in the world. It was good tho...I had to stop myself from finishing the bowl before I got sick. Denise is doing well, we love her. Her prayers have continued and she even prayed about the Book of Mormon while we were there (kinda). She indirectly asked if it was true, so we are still working on direct questions, but she is lovely. She came to church yesterday and loved it as always.

Jeremy is doing real good! He came to a Family Home Evening at a members home on Tuesday and we watched the Restoration movie. He really liked it and had some amazing questions all about temples and prophets and ALL the good stuff! We had a bomb lesson with him on Friday and he promised us that he would pray about the Book of Mormon! I am so excited. Me and Sister Schmutz did a little happy dance after his lesson because it just felt so right.

Bill, good old Bill Areia. We have a recent convert named Chris who lives in an part member less active family and I truly do love them and all of their crazy. Chris dads name is Bill and he wants to get baptized. We want him to get baptized. But alas, they are a funny funny family that doesn't always comprehend the fact that in order to do that they gotta come to church! So sadly, he did not attend this week...but we will get him next time. Chris and his mom Sherri are the only members (for now) but I feel really good about Bill. He is a good guy and we love their family. We even love spending time with them on the smoke break table in their apartment complex... Chris may have smoked the whole lesson, but I am still counting it as a win.

I am doing so well, thriving honestly. I am getting sick so thats fun but besides that I am loving every minute. Missions are such a gift. I learn new things every day. It truly is the hardest thing I have ever loved to do. God is 100% in this work and I know that for absolute certain. We had a meeting with our Stake President yesterday and he told us about the importance of having a vision. He served in Guatemala 20+ years ago, back then they had to take a 7 hour bus ride and then walk for an hour and a half to teach a lesson to a few families on this coffee plantation after 9 months they were able to baptize a small group that consisted of very few people. Yesterday he was in a call with the stake president of that same coffee plantation. STAKE PRESIDENT. They also just announced that the mission that he served in is getting a temple. He said that back then he had a vision...he knew that one day little by little great things would happen, He then read D&C 64:33 with us:
"Wherefore, be not weary in well-doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work. And out of small things proceedeth that which is great."
Small things matter. They always have. This gospel is individual, salvation is individual, one by one. Doing good isn't always the easy way but it is always the right way. So keep on keepin on. God will bless you for it. I absolutely know that to be true.

Mucho love,
Sister Tams

Other/Funny Stuff:
-Sister Conor (being from Canda) bought a canadian bacon pizza the other day only to be so extremely disappointed to find out it was just ham. I loved it a lot.
-Brother Arend told Jeremy that if he got baptized he could serve a mission one day and I LOVED THAT.
-Bills 2 year old daughter Angelina has been carrying around the Book of Mormon for the last 2 days and wont put it down...smart girl, now if she could only get her dad to read it.
-RIP to Maureen...she texted us this week and basically told us that she wasn't wanting us to come back anymore. Satan worked on her, sad sauce...one day though.
-I got asked to speak in sacrament in 2 weeks so thats cool.
-We met our finding goal this week, God is SO good.
