Week 18 Habla Espanol?

FRIENDS AND FAMILY, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, CHILDREN OF GOD,

If you guys were wondering, I love my mission.

Denise is an angel sent straight from heaven. She is so spiritual and has such a desire to change so that she can come closer to Jesus Christ. We saw her 4 times this week. Some amazing members came with us and set up puppy gates for her in her apartment and sat in on the lessons. We all love her, she is a loveable gal. She came to church yesterday and loved every minute of it. She said she was just so grateful for the goodness that is found in the church, and the members just rallied around her. We had to wait for 20 minutes after church to be able to even talk to her because all of the members were just chatting with her. She even participated in Sunday school. Afterwards she got a priesthood blessing and she was crying the whole time. She is incredible and so prepared. I am almost brought to tears thinking about her being able to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost and to be able to attend the temple one day. I absolutely adore her.

God is so so good and he is truly preparing people for us. This week we had the opportunity to teach District Counsel. We invited all the missionaries in our zone to join us in praying everyday at 4:30pm specifically for missionary work in our area/zone. MAN HAS THAT WORKED! We have been praying everyday that the members hearts would be softened and that we would be able to get them more involved and so far this week we have had 4 lessons with members present and 2 member referrals (which is a miracle). It has just solidified my  testimony of the power of prayer. I know that God is always there and he is always listening. He is so good.

One of the member referrals came from a member named Beth Bone. We went over to her apartment to practice our teaching and turns out her 9 year old grandson moved in with her and wants to be baptized! His name is Skylar and he is just the cutest little kid. Now we just have to help him feel the desire to come to church! Any tips would be appreciated! He is awesome and we get to go over and teach him again tonight!

We went on exchanges this week with the Hermanas. If you were wondering, si I am now fluent in Espanol. lol, I wish. She tried to teach me some stuff but man was I lost (grateful to be an English missionary) Hermana Tullis joined me here in West Sac and she was on fire. She has only been out for a month and she set up a return appointment with some Spanish speakers in our area all by herself! The Sacramento Hermanas were so excited! I had a grand time learning from her and her incredible testimony.

I love God a lot. Also I am reading about the 2,000 stripling warriors in the Book of Mormon right now and it is honestly my favorite.

Mucho love,
Sister Tams

Other/Funny stuff:
-We pulled into West Sac with Hermana Tullis (her first exchange ever) and what did we see? A random homeless guy straight up pooping on the side of the road. All I could say was "ee uhh welcome to west wack?" we had a good laugh.
-We finished with our member dinner yesterday and went to teach a lesson to our recent convert named Etta. We got there and she is like "I rushed home so I could cook for you." So we had 2 big pasta dinners, but we could not say no because she is literally the sweetest most generous lady in the world. She made us pulled pork spaghetti (surprisingly good) and Texas toast to

say the least I literally almost had to get rolled out of there I was so full.
-Me and Sister Schmutz were honestly giddy this week. We came home from church after Denise and just did a little happy dance.
-Fun fact, I have been into bananas this week.
-We got to church yesterday and right before sacrament the Sunday School teacher was like "I have an emergency and I have to go home can you teach Sunday School?" We said of course because the man looked troubled and just read come follow me as quickly as we could during sacrament and said a lot of prayers. It was very intimidating to teach all the adults and our bishop a lesson that we had barely prepared....Luckily God is with us and the spirit did most of the teaching.
-If you were wondering we live next to a giant pyramid that always has food trucks.
-Oh yeah also if you were wondering Elder UCHTDORF is coming Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
