Week 2 YOU WILL NEVER BELIEVE WHO IS WALKING THE MTC CAMPUS AS WE SPEAK!

FRIENDS AND FAMILY, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, CHILDREN OF GOD,

I stand by my love for the MTC. This week has been SOOO good. Sunday was fathers day so a BIG shoutout to TRAVIS TAMS, I love you long time Dad and I hope you had the best fathers day in the world, you deserve it! Sunday was amazing, I think one of the most spiritual experiences in the MTC yet. We had a ponder activity with just the sisters and I was asked to lead the discussion, when we got back to the classroom the spirit was so so strong and we just talked about what being a representative of Jesus Christ means to us. THE SPIRIT WAS SO STRONG I CAN'T EMPHASIZE THAT ENOUGH, I asked everyone to bear their testimonies and all of the sisters were in tears by the end of it. Representing Jesus Christ is the biggest blessing and honor I have ever had in my life.

We started teaching TRCs this week!! TRCs are basically just people that are wanting to know more about the church that come to the MTC for us to teach them. Our TRCs this week were Emerald and Sarah, they are both so so amazing!! We had such a cool experience with Sarah, We were studying for Emerald about adversity before our lesson with Sarah and then Sarah asked about why God gives us adversity. Me and Sister Hurst just looked at each other with so much excitement and had her read the paragraph about it that we had just found, she teared up a little bit and explained that she had never seen it that way, she just thought that God was manipulative and didn't want her to be happy. It was SUCH A COOL EXPERIENCE, what was even cooler was that we planned on talking to her about the Book of Mormon. The spirit truly has guided all of our lessons! We also had a lot of good lessons with Emerald! Sadly we only get to teach her for a week on Monday and Wednesday so we don't get to teach her again..which made us so sad, I CANT believe how much I love her and will miss her! We get to keep teaching Sarah on Tues and Thurs though so I will let ya know how that goes.

I am still and will forever be grateful for my district! It is so incredible to feel just pure Christ like love for those around me, I have only known these people for like 10 days and I can't imagine not knowing them. Sister Kolson (One of the sisters in my district) told me that if my district didn't need me so much I would have been translated already...they are all WAY WAY too good to me. Each of them seriously have such an amazing spirit to bring to the table and I am so grateful that I get to work so closely with them, they have taught me so much about the gospel and about myself. I hope that I get a chance to be companions with honestly all of them in the field because they are so incredible. We got our travel information this week which is CRAZY, I only have one more Pday in the MTC!!! AHHHHHH, but I leave on July 2nd on the same flight as all the sisters in my district! The Elders leave for Colorado the day after us.

Not only has this week been so so spiritual it has also been full of laughs. 2 of the sisters in my residence hall even peed their pants they were laughing so hard. It is amazing how much the MTC changes your sense of humor. We literally laughed for 20 minutes about a piece of paper flying out of my scriptures and hitting one of the sisters in the face. It was honestly hilarious. Everything is funnier in the MTC, you don't know funny until you watch me and the sisters in my district try to double dutch...that is good stuff.

Other funny stuff:
-I got a bloody nose when I wore my white dress and somehow didn't get that on it but when we had burgers for dinner I got the ketchup on it...makes sense, my district told me I needed to wear a bib.
-One of the Elders in my district calls me Sister Tam and I just feel bad correcting him so now I am just Sister Tam to him forever.
-My district acquired 28 Crumbl cookies within 30 seconds. I got 3 boxes, Sister Jackson got 3 boxes, and Sister Huntzinger got a box. SO MANY COOKIES.

Oh, and if you were wondering who is walking the MTC campus as we speak just look up a picture of the first presidency and the quorum of the Twelve apostles....ALL OF THEM!! They are doing a mission president training conference at the MTC this weekend so ALL OF THEM ARE HERE!! I have yet to see any of them but we have a devotional tomorrow and they have told us that many of them will be in attendance, so I will keep you updated.

Anyways that is all

Mucho love,
Sister Tams
